Price County United Limited (PCUL)'s mission is to support community & economic development through community engagement and our activities include but are not limited to the preservation of our historic culture and buildings, supporting public recreation trails, remediation of brownfield sites, and all aspects of work to combat community deterioration.
We have networked and collaborated with professional consultants that have expertise in economic and community development. These professionals include architects, environmental consultants, attorneys, brownfield experts, grant writers, financial specialists, marketing, and specialists in city/urban planning among others. We know the importance of planning and the perspective each of these professionals provide.
Our board members have worked together for over 30 years in various roles. We bring together experience in public service of 25+, experience with government grant implementation, international and local business expertise, president of the local lake association, lead for the Phillips Mainstreet/connect communities, accounting, finance, community engagement, and collaboration with local communities and government.
We are working on projects that create Gateways to our Historic Downtown Phillips. We are focusing on developing local wealth and sustainability, resilient business models, and solve some of our most pressing challenges; low income, poor health, and early mortality. We are changing the face of Phillips to reimagine and reinvent idle spaces. Collectively creating a vision that our community creates and getting the projects done. The design goal is to create a model that will sustain a vibrant, healthy, and economically resilient community.
The Lionite Mill property has transitioned to Price County United Limited (PCUL), breaking it free to redevelop and reimagine its space. 141 years of industrial use as lumber mills in the early 1900's and mid 1900s as a hardboard plant. Our nonprofit is looking for YOUR perspective on its future use. We are revisioning, reinvesting, and redeveloping. Attend our community engagement meetings, connect with our ongoing survey, upload images of your vision, think big and creative!!! ALL perspectives encouraged!!
